“Peaceful ResistAnce”

ABOUT THE PIECE:
The symbol “Ɣ” in the Arabic language means “No”. This piece captures human cells in such a way where they come together to display both what looks like a dove in flight and the Arabic symbol for "no". This piece is honoring the Egyptian youth who in 2011 peaceful marched to Tahrir Square to resist injustice and tyranny.

PIECE HIGHLIGHT:
In February 2018 Chapman University has proudly placed “Peaceful Resistance” on permanent display for students, faculty and visitors to enjoy.  “Plant” also shares this honor and distinction.
